NW Cali is a lush wonderland in Spring, saturated in green, mushrooms, dainty flowers, puffy clouds, sparkling dew. It’s a great time to visit the State parks before summer swarms or to camp in the inland mountains when the bears are waking up. Delectably wild this time of year! In the past, by now I would have been out camping at least three times. This year the forecast – take it slow- Although the Camping with Bigfoot assessment is nearly complete; 75 wild escapes so far, 20 more to visit, 20 to re-visit! Like so many things we love…COVID-19 has also shut down public land campground camping:National Forest campgrounds closed until 5/20/20, BLM closed until deemed safe, Humboldt county campgrounds, State Park CG’s closed until further notice .But…Wild (primitive) places, OPEN!A few more back roads, a little farther in to the backwoods, down the road less traveled, under the Flower Full Moon I think its time to go camping!
