Shh, can you hear it? Its called Quiet.
Less cars on the road a benefit of Shelter-in-Place on my little slice of Terra Firma! When I first took off from home to go camping one of the main things I was seeking was Silence. As most of you know I live on a fairly busy street and, well, it drives me nuts! This quest to find quiet while camping has been a challenging one – the world is a really noisy place. I dove down the rabbit hole of research on Soundscapes and noise pollution, what a journey. I won’t bog your scrolling down with too much detail. But, I will say this…Noise is un-wanted sound. Humans make a lot of it. Mostly, we are not even aware of how noisy are world is (we just keep turning up the volume). There is scientific proof we need to turn the volume down.Since it is a bit chilly for me to go camping I’m loving the reduced decibels from the Shelter-in-Place.Take some time and consciously listen to your neighborhood.
