As our little rock tracks around the sun the page of the calendar has been turned and we’ve stepped in to August. I get a bit anxious when this happens, it feels like summer is nearly over. The truth is there are 50 days until the Autumnal Equinox, put another way, a month and a half. In NW Cali camping weather is just starting to ripen. There are eight more days to enjoy the Perseid Meteor showers until they peak on August 12, we won’t feel the first rain is until around Halloween.
Hope you can carve out time to go wander down a dusty road, sleep outside, gaze at a campfire. Give a little gift to that untamed wild part of yourself – go camping!
