Would you camp here?

I made the long trek, with co-pilot Jessy, to a Campground on the South Fork of the Trinity River. This little rustic spot is only 25 miles as the crow flies from my house in Blue Lake, yet it took us three hours of curvy road to reach. What a sweet spot! Campsites are tucked in the shade of Black Oak, Douglas Fir, and Big Leaf Maple trees. All of this sitting smack on the banks of one of the most beautiful rivers in Northern Cali, with plenty of beach and swimming access.

Here’s the caveat…This is the far reaches of everywhere; county lines and national forest boundaries collide here. It sits only 4 miles of from the little (weed) farm hamlet of Hyampom which has only a bar and P.O. All roads leading here are long & twisty. There is no cell service or pay phones. There is no potable water.

We really enjoyed this wild, pretty & peaceful spot (the bear only snuffled by the tent briefly). A truly wild, quiet, dark place a car can get you to! But I wondered if anyone does or if anyone will camp here?

Would you?
